PASS provides full-ride scholarships to academically qualified, financially disadvantaged South Sudanese youth. South Sudanese from all tribes and all states of South Sudan, and those living in refugee camps in neighboring countries, are eligible to apply. Scholarships cover 100% of tuition and a living stipend for the full academic year.
The Process
Students apply through a meticulous selection process, submitting certified academic records and demonstrating both merit and need. They must maintain a GPA of 2.8 or higher each year to renew their scholarships.
PASS prioritizes the inclusion of young women and youth from marginalized or displaced backgrounds. A $450 gift pays a full year’s tuition. An additional $600 supports living expenses. Together, it’s a transformative investment, one that opens a door that would otherwise remain shut.
PASS Scholarships cover tuition, fees, books and living allowance for up to four years.
Prioritizing Underserved Youth, Especially Girls
PASS scholarships are need- and merit-based. Students who meet all academic requirements but lack the resources to pay for higher education will be prioritized. Because girls are disproportionately excluded from post-secondary education in South Sudan, female applicants will receive special consideration.
