Partners and Donors

Together, We’re Changing the Future of South Sudan - One Scholar at a Time

You Make the Mission Possible

At PASS, we exist to bridge the educational gap for South Sudanese youth especially young women by providing the only full-ride college scholarships exclusively for South Sudanese students.

But we don’t do it alone.

From local businesses to global organizations, from generous individuals to strategic foundations, our partners and donors are the lifeblood of this mission. This page is both a celebration and a call to acknowledge those already standing with us, and to invite others to join in.

Our Partners and Donors

We are proud to partner with organizations and individuals who believe in equity, access, and the power of education to rebuild communities. In the world's #1 poorest country, our partners and donors are showing us the power of kindness.

Donor Spotlight

“To be able to see how much a few dollars can impact an entire generation makes us believe in the vision of PASS. The youth of South Sudan need every support they can get and  we feel honored to do so every month.”

Lisa & John, Monthly Donors since 2024

“PASS gave me a way to turn my values into real impact. Seeing girls graduate because of our contributions is a blessing.”

Grace T., Monthly Donor since 2022

"My husband and I started out sponsoring two students in 2022. But as the needs grew, we decided to sponsor another. It’s amazing how relatively little of our money has the power to transform lives in South Sudan. Especially now that we’ve lost the work of USAID and America is doing so little for the rest of the world… we feel it’s our duty (and privilege) to give what we can and support our brothers and sisters around the world."

Bridget R., Monthly Donor since 2022

I know everyone’s financial situations are different, but I sometimes feel we don’t fully comprehend how truly blessed we are. It is just through cosmic luck that we were born into the fortunate circumstances that so many of us were, where we don’t have to worry about food, shelter, safety, healthcare, or school.

But life could have so easily turned out different for each of us. I feel we have a Christian duty to help those who were born into much less fortunate circumstances-those who’ve probably had a rough go at life in their relatively short lives and endured things that we cannot imagine.

Education is one way for those in South Sudan to try to get just a little bit closer to having a better life than the one they might have been born into. They may be short on means, but not on motivation. While some of us may not have liked school all that much, there are those who so desperately want an education and the chance to succeed, but currently don’t have that opportunity.

When you sponsor a deserving student to be able to take that next step in their educational journey, you are giving them hope. When I think of hope, I think of Andy Dufresne’s famous line in the movie The Shawshank Redemption: “Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies." Please give a student the gift of hope, by providing them the path to shoot for the stars, and get there.

Thank you,
J.M.

I had the great honor of meeting Fran Roby and Dr. Augustino Mayi, founders of this wonderful organization, two years ago.  Hearing about the tremendous impact being made by PASS is what convinced me to sponsor a student, and then six more!  One of the first email responses I received from a student was “You have broken the chain of illiteracy.”   A recent graduate wrote “This has totally changed my life and that of my family.”

For about one dollar per day, I am able to provide tuition for someone who wants nothing more than an education.  I also learned through my correspondence with students, about the huge role that faith plays in their lives and that of their families.  The messages I’m sending through my donations are about how I value all they believe in, and I have faith in their future.
